Inspired by the 19th-century Japanese ghost tale Yotsuya Kaidan, Yūrei catapults the haunting spirits into the futuristic world of 2100 A.D., where love, betrayal, digital twins and AI-driven immortality take centre stage.

A live string quartet soundtrack to accompany Harry Josephine Giles sci-fi novel book reading performance. Commissioned by and premiered at the Edinburgh International Book Festival 2022. Full staged production premiered and toured Orkney, Inverness and Aberdeen in SUmmer 2025.
